GETTING SIGNED UP FOR 2010!

If you are old Powderpigs, you already know the drill (you may have helped create it), and a quick look through of the first few pages of the Powderpig Brochure and this article should bring you right up to speed .

If you are a NEW Powderpig family, it is very important you read through the brochure carefully and come to one of the Parent Meetings for first year Powderpig parents held in early December. these meetings begin at 7:30 and are held at the Preston Community Center in Preston. See "Directions" on our main menu for map and directions. The meeting for the parents of first year preschoolers will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 1 and the meeting for parents of first year school age children will be held on Thursday, December 3. By attending one of these meetings, you will know what you are actually getting into and how and why we do things the way we do. NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU HAVE HEARD ABOUT POWDERPIGS FROM FRIENDS OR FAMILY, these two steps are crucial to you and your child having a good Powderpig experience! Last year we started taking serious roll at these meetings and when a Powderpig parent had difficulty with the way we do things, which we were sure we had explained very carefully during the parent meetings, we checked to see if they had been able to attend the First Year Powderpig Parent Meeting. Very often (most of the time, actually), they hadn't. The challenge we face is that no matter how hard we try, it is next to impossible to get all the information we cover in these meetings to you in any other way. So we will be looking forward to seeing you new Powderpig parents at one of the meetings in December!

The first page is the registration page which contains all contact information we will have for you. Please make sure to print your email address so we can read it. Confirmations can be delayed when email addresses are hard to decipher. The original of the release must be sent in via regular mail. The About Your Child pages are very important in placing your child in a class. Thanks for your help in getting all the paperwork in to us! Our mailing address can be found on the registration page of the application.

Based on some pretty exciting experiences this last year - we will be keeping even more careful track of enrollment this time 'round - and when a program is full, WE WILL CLOSE REGISTRATION for that program. No matter who it is that ends up hearing the dreary news "there is no more room". Old timers be forewarned! Sign up now!

*If you are considering enrolling a 3 year old in the program, please contact us by Email before sending in their application.

**If your child decides they would like to switch from one program to another or you would like to switch days, we are very willing to make that change as long as there is still room in the other program at the time of the request.

Email addresses get changed frequently enough so that our email address list is not very accurate from one end of the season to the other - let along from one season to another without your help.
