to arrange lift ops (ours!) for Saturday.  Yeaaaa!!!

·        More snow in the forecast for this week -during the week.  (It is snowing as we speak)  SAT FORECAST IS FOR NO PRECIP. (NOAA says that for our location and elevation: Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 54  :0 )

·       2X4 nominations desperately needed!!! Email them to Nancy at thinksnow@powderpigs.com

·                    Clinic for Level I ski Instructors is at 4:30 on Saturday.

  • Level I test for  ski instructors  Sunday at High Noon.  Check back here for what you will need to bring with you for the test.

·                     Needed:  Nominations for 2X4 awards.  Just email them to Nancy or put them on a 4X6 uff da card and give to Nancy or Annelise.  The annual 2X4 awards are a very important part of the year end party.

·                     Remember your season pass, please.

We had another beautiful weekend for lessons last weekend and for this Saturday, we have mountain forecasts with NO precip in them - just a few clouds - so we should have a great day for the last day of Saturday lessons and the End of the Year Party.  Hey you guys, we need your best, silliest and most entertaining "Uff das!"  nominations for 2X4 awards.  So, tell on your friends and  give us their most embarrassing moments on the mountain.  We may just immortalize them for all Powderpig time in a 2X4 award - for the edification of future Powderpigs.

It is time to celebrate this year!  So grab your shrimp and come on up!  Mike and PC will get the shrimp pot up and boiling while Annelise and the Level I clinic is out and by the time they all get back, it will be time to git down n' grit down!

This is a preview of coming events!  This year Elon will be joining us and maybe get to chew on a shrimp or two.  Be sure to see below to discover what to bring for the Boil.  Shrimp - uncooked (raw!) & frozen, tail on and 31-40 count .  (They have the best chance of staying cold enough and work best for the boil)  and we will provide the rest of what goes into the boil and with it. Costco has the best deals on 2 lb bags of raw, tail on frozen shrimp - 31-40 count.  Safeway does a pretty good job of it too.  If you have a favorite beverage, please bring it and make sure it is legal for you. :0 )

Also, remember that this weekend is the weekend to plan on taking ALL your beloved belongings home with you.  The Area will be doing a walk through the Pigpen and we get lots of ugly demerits when there is a lot of stuff left here.  They don't like it!  So we will have to clear out anything that gets left behind.  Grump! Grump!! :0 /

So, that is about all the news for this week.  See you this weekend!

Do check the Pig Phone  (425 392 PASS(7277) on Saturday morning after 8:15AM. Just in case the Area throws anything screwy at us - or Mother Nature decides to throw us a curved ball.   We will announce any schedule changes on the Pig Phone as soon as we have enough information to make them, if it becomes necessary.  Very last minute changes will be announced only on the Pig Phone - 425 - 392- 7277 - so if, on the way up, things get to looking "a bit much" - just call the ski school number 425 392 PASS (7277 ) from your cell phone.   You can leave any news from the road on conditions and situations in a message.  Thanks!

COME PREPARED!  Remember to bring your lunches and what you want to drink!  You will need plenty of fuel to keep you going on this ninth & last  Saturday of lessons!!

COME PREPARED FOR ALL KINDS OF WEATHER.  Layers are best!  Rain gear could  (but probably is totally irrelevant be very appropriate.

REMEMBER YOUR SEASON PASS –Although the one time only program is still in effect – it is all computerized and they know when you get your ONE time only ticket.  After that there are no more tickets.    The Area cut back on the comp ticket program for all the ski schools – comp tickets  really do no longer exist!  Just another little sign that our economy has been challenging since last year.  The Area is doing its level best to make it through these challenging times and we want them to!  Another area owner we do not need!!

INSTRUCTOR MEETING TIMES!  There is a lot of important information to cover again this week - so please be on time!!!  If you must be late please email us and let us know. the  Saturday Ski instructor meetings begins at 10:15  AM on the instructor floor.    Snowboard instructor meetings - will meet in the kitchen  - 10:15 AM on Saturday .  Remember, we need year end evaluations made out for each of your students and your kids each need a Year End Certificate made out and given to them on this last day of lessons.

THIS  SATURDAY NIGHT'S GIT DOWN GRIT DOWN

 MARCH 20th IS

THE

POWDERPIG BOIL -

and Boil Master Mike

will be at the helm, once again!

For each participant, please bring 2 lbs of frozen Shrimp -  Raw, tail on, 31-40 count.  Costco has a very good deal on 2 lb. bags of raw, tail on 31-40 count frozen shrimp.  Safeway does a good job too.  This is the only way we know of to be sure to have anywhere near the right amount of shrimp.  We will provide the rest of the accoutrements for the boil.  One more thing – please bring whatever you would like to drink.  We will have sodas for the kids (of all ages), but if you would like anything else, please bring it!  This is a “BYODrinkables – so you have exactly what you like” affair.  Questions?  Email Nancy at thinksnow@powderpigs.com

Tony is busy preparing his special treat for the year end party:

Two of Tony's famous apple pies ass set  to head to the mountain!  Best Apple Pie, ever! ! Tony says there are 6 more just like these headed up for Saturday night's festivities.  Ummmm good!  They are the perfect ending to a wonderful feast.

Before you pack up and head for the mountain, be sure to check back here to see if there are any changes in our "marching orders".    See you this weekend.

REMEMBER!   Do not leave anything in your vehicle you would like to take home with you at the end of the day/weekend.
